I hold a Doctorate\nin Economics, a Master\u2019s in Economic Analysis and an Executive MBA. I currently\nteach Microeconomics, Economic Analysis of Financial Markets and Financial Risk\nEvaluation on both undergraduate and master\u2019s programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My main research focus is the study of risk in\ncapital markets and the dependence relationship between financial and energy\nmarkets. Within these areas, I analyse the influence of oil prices on the\nvaluation of financial assets and exchange rates, systemic risk in financial\nmarkets and systemic oil market effects of renewable energy markets. My most\nrecent research analyses climate risk impact on financial and energy markets,\nfinancial stability and investment decisions. My research papers have been\npublished in journals such as <em>Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Journal of\nBanking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, Renewable and\nSustainable Energy Reviews <\/em>and<em> Emerging Markets Review<\/em>, among\nothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I actively participate in projects for\nknowledge transfer to the private sector and lead several transfer contracts on\nfinancial product evaluation and risk management.
