Pilar Díaz Vázquez
I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Msc in Economics at the University of Manchester (UK) and PhD in Economics at the University of London (UK). I am interested in the relationship between labour market institutions and employment in recessions (in the business cycle). In particular, I focus on those institutions related to employment protection (minimum wage, firing costs) in a context of technological change and globalization. The aim is to shed light on the relevant economic policy in this context.
